Shots of the Day: Pillows Flinging through the Air 🔗
Saturday, April 3, 2010 was a day of Apples and Pillows. At 9 a.m., Apple began selling the iPad, and I found myself waiting in line patiently to purchase my own multitouch slice of the future. Then, I hopped on Amtrak and headed to D.C. to photograph International Pillow Fight Day. I covered this event last year, and this year was just as fun, bringing together hundreds of strangers for a good old-fashioned pillow bashing, set against the backdrop of our nation's Capital on a beautiful spring day.The first round of the pillow fight broke out near the Washington Monument. Then, we migrated over to Dupont Circle for more pillow fights and games such as "capture the flag."
